In May, 1969 the South Sacramento Ecumenical Parish (SSEP) was formed with representatives from seven faith congregations: Bethany Presbyterian, Centennial UMC, Florin UMC, Lutheran Church of the Master, Oak Park UMC, Prince of Peace and Wesley UMC. Articles of Incorporation were filed on June 18, 1969. In March 1996 the corporation’s name was officially changed to the South Sacramento Interfaith Partnership (SSIP).

53 years later, SSIP is a thriving organization composed of representatives from 12 congregations. The primary focus of SSIP is to provide emergency food to the more than 5,000 neighbors each month who are food insecure.

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS-

The S.E.C.- Site Expansion Committee has been formed to “grow” SSIP.
