2025 Full Plates, Full Hearts event fills our hearts with gratitude!

SSIP's annual fundraising event held on March 8, proved to be enormously successful.  It was a magical evening, filled with great food, pleasant company and good vibes.  Through the efforts and generosity of many, together we raised over $100,000, an amount that will go directly toward our mission of alleviating food insecurity for Sacramento residents.

Our community of caring and generous sponsors don't just make an impact, they help us leave a lasting imprint on the thousands of families we serve each month. While economic uncertainty remains ahead of us, the Food Closet continues to focus on improving our emergency food distribution program while adjusting to changes that may be needed.

A special thanks to St. Anthony’s Parish for hosting the well-attended dinner at their Memorial Center in the Greenhaven-Pocket neighborhood. Many of those in attendance who provide the support and resources for the Food Closet celebrated the aloha spirit with their family & friends, some even donning their best Hawaiian garb, while enjoying a Hawaiian buffet dinner provided by Maggie’s Table, and live performances from the Ohana Dance Group.
